I bought this tent on Amazon in the summer of 2011 and quickly posted a review. For some reason with this product the reviews are linked to the seller not the product so when the seller is out, the reviews disappear even if the tent is still sold by others on Amazon. So I am reposting now with a few additional notes.First, I know Amazon hates when you mention prices in a review, but in this case I must. I bought it at $125 shipped but soon the best price was $260 plus shipping! Obviously these retail prices have nothing to do with actual wholesale costs. At $125 it is a great bargain, at $260+ you can get a better deal on a Big Agnes, or other high end brand name tent, with a little research online.Here is my original review from June 2011:If you're looking for an ultralight solo shelter, this is a no-brainer. Even a high end silnylon tarp tent and tyvek ground sheet are going to weigh over 2 pounds with guy lines and cost over $300! For less than a pound more weight you get a real free standing tent with sewn in waterproof floor, mosquito netting, and full rain fly with vestibule. I say buy now. Most other online stores want $200+ for this tent so I think once this lot is sold the $124.95 price is going to go way up.Set up is simple and very fast, built quality is generally excellent but I do have a few issues so far:Do not buy this tent if you are 6 feet or taller! I'm only 5'10' and in a sleeping bag I'm pushing on both ends! It should be about 6 inches longer. Width and height are good though; plenty of room to roll over, sit up and turn around.Like one of the other reviewers, I am very concerned about the plastic clips at the four corners that attach the fly and poles to the tent. They seem quite delicate and I worry about how well they will stand up to ordinary use, let alone actual accidents like being stepped on. They are sewn in so replacement will require a return to the manufacturer. It would have been very easy to design them to be replaceable by the consumer without sewing.Including guy lines, the tent and fly have 10 stake out points, but only 6 stakes are included. The fly has 4 loops for guy lines but only two are included and they are not reflective, a nice feature that has been appearing on $30 tents at big box stores.Like almost all quality tents today, the seams are sealed at the factory with tape, but the instructions rightly recommend additional sealing with liquid seam sealer, especially where clips and webbing attach. However Sierra Designs does not include any sealer, unlike the cheap tents at the big box stores! It would have cost less than $2 to include a bottle! The unnecessary product cheapening really makes you wonder who is in charge at SD, people who love the outdoors and making gear for it or bean counters in suits.Overall though, I am very happy with this tent and expect to get many years use from it. And BTW, according to my postage scale the complete weight is 3 pounds 5.5 ounces. My trail weight (tent, fly, poles, and two stakes for the vestibule) is 2 pounds 15.4 ounces. A quality one person tent under 3 pounds for $125 is unheard of, get it while you can.
