i had been searching for a new hiking tent for some time and was suprised that this tent fit the bill. its free standing and light weight, dual vestible and entry on both sides.great ventilation along with one hardcore rainfly. what sold me on this tent was the pack size. i like to use a kelty redwing 50 backpack and most tents on the market are too large to fit inside. this is due to the pole section size. on this tent its just at 15 inches. your not going to get that on many other tents for this price. if you shop around hiking tents the pack sizes are mostly 19 - 22 inches long unless you want to spend alot more money. plenty of headroom and gear pockets and both ends and up top. there are only two things i reccomend for this tent. the first is that this should come with a comression bag as the one that comes with it is way to big and the only way to get that nice packed down size is too roll and fold the tent then use straps.with a compression bag you could just stuff the tent in the bag and tighten your straps. the second is that it could be used with the rainfly only if there were a footprint with gromets for the poles. at this time you can only get a generic floor saver. with that said its a great tent and a good price with alot of features that your only going to get on tents twice the price.
