The Uinta has great appeal for a quick-stop of one night or 3 or 4. Set-up is quick and easy, with or without stakes, (but they're recommended). Windy or rainy conditions with guy-outs and the fly take considerably longer, but it's still quick. I don't yet know about wet conditions, but the deep tub floor looks good. In fact, the whole tent looks good, from inside or out. My only other quick-set was a Camel SST, which was both smaller and hot and stuffy, except under cool conditions. This company's logo is a camel. Hmmmmm. If it's the same people, they hit a home run with this new one.It's well laid out, with a roomy square floor footprint and a modified dome. The "front porch" apron and well-hooded door are nice. I have always divided by two when it comes to the number of people comfortably accomodated, and this tent is no different, but two should find more comfort and convenience than average for this type of tent.There is plenty of ventilation, fully adjustable for conditions. First trip out was to Yosemite's Tuolumne Meadows in later September. Rain fly off and everything open for warm (even hot), days, then fly on for cold nights. The "no-seeum" mesh is effective for the casual glance. Crowded conditions likely will not feel too intrusive. Seeing out is easy and fun, especially at night. Seeing in is difficult.I found this tent to be very comfortable. However, layering has something to do with it. I start with a conventional ground sheet, then add a layer of overlaping "space blankets", aluminized side down. This helps protect against moisture and cold ground. Then goes the tent, followed by an inside liner and/or an indoor-outdoor area rug. These are recommended for anyone and any tent. Your floors will last a lot longer. You will be more comfortable. Pitching and striking can be arduous, which this tent makes easier, but it's worth it. Sirius helps, too.Great 3-season tent. The folks in Chicago did well.

This is by far the greatest family/car camping tent i have ever owned and i've owned a few. I only say car camping because it's really big (which is nice) and weighs a little too much for hard core backpacking. You could hike in with it, but wouldn't want to take it on a thru hike.That being said, this thing is amazing. I pulled it out, unfolded the legs, lifted up and pushed the center piece together and my tent was up. My wife turned around and couldn't believe it, my job was done! Before bed we put the rain fly on and again, what a great piece of gear. Complete "FULL" coverage and so fast and easy to use, each corner has a snap buckle and it was on. Plus, the front porch area is HUGE. The perfect place for our wet shoes and other gear.Not sure what else to say, but you won't be dissapointed.

The only reason I am giving this tent a 5 star rating is because there isn't a 6. My wife purchased this tent for me on Amazon through Goliath Electronics. Their customer service is phenomenal. The first weekend I had the tent, the kids wanted to camp in the back yard. We set it up and it truly goes up in 30 seconds, absolutely amazing. Staking it down and putting on the fly take another 5 minutes so you are still under 6 minutes for total setup time. The overall quality of the tent is outstanding.The night we used it we were supposed to get a little rain with snow in the mountains. We are not in the mountains so we did not worry about it. With the full rain fly, the internal temperature of the tent was nice and cozy. It got down the mid 30's that night and we were quite comfortable. The Vestibule in the front is also very nice for keeping your shoes outside.It rained on us all night, not hard but a steady rain. The inside of the tent remained bone dry. Since it was raining I couldn't cook breakfast outside so I went into the house to cook. It wasn't supposed to snow so I wasn't too worried about taking down the tent. I spent some time with my wife then realized that it was snowing and snowing hard. I looked outside and the tent was still intact but was starting to bow in where the snow was weighing it down. I figured it would stop soon so I didn't worry about it. It kept snowing and by now the tent had completely collapsed. I went outside and brushed the snow off and dragged the tent to an area that was shielded by my house. I left it there to "dry" out for a few days. What that really meant is that I was nervous about what I would find inside and procrastinated it. 4 days later when I got around to taking the tent down I was totally surprised to find that there was no water inside. Not even a drop and there were no signs of water ever being in there. the only issue is that one of the poles showed signs of hairline fractures, most likely from being flattend by the snow. I was sad but not surprised since the tent was not marketed as a 4 season tent, only a 3 season.I contacted Goliath Electronics, who I purchased the tent from, and they told me that the poles should be under warranty and that I should contact the manufacturer directly. They gave me the number and website then told me that if the manufacturer wouldn't do anything, that I could call them back and they would take care of it. This was not necessary as the Grand Trunk customer service was equally magnificent. The first lady I talked to said that she was glad I liked the tent and that she would transfer me to the warehouse so that they could ship me some new poles. The warehouse got my information and are sending out the poles today.I absolutely love this tent and highly recommend it to anyone who needs a mid size tent that hates to spend half an hour setting it up. It is everything advertized and more.
