There is lightweight and then there is incredibly lightweight. At a scant 1 pound, 1 ounce, the Terra Nova Laser Ultra 1 double-wall tent definitely qualifies as incredibly lightweight. The Laser Ultra 1's ounce-shaving design delivers reliable protection at a weight and packed size (14" x 3.2") that is perfect for thru-hikers, fast-and-light backpackers, adventure racers and touring cyclists. Measuring 86.6" x 34.2" with an internal peak height of 34", the Laser Ultra 1tent provides adequate room for solo backpackers and even a bit of their gear. The 7.55mm Scandium Alloy poles delivers reliable structure at minimal weight and the unique architecture provides a sturdy pitch and creates a streamlined vestibule in front of the large side door. The floor and fly of the Laser Ultra 1 are constructed of innovative ULTRA 10000 mm, an extremely lightweight, high-tenacity fabric. Mesh vents in the door and at both the head and foot of the tent enhance breathability. All seams are tape-sealed to further protect the Laser Ultra 1 from the elements. A custom-fit footprint (sold separately) further protects the floor of the Laser Ultra 1 from mud, ground water and sharp objects such as rocks and pine needles. The Terra Nova Laser Ultra 1 tent includes a stuff sack and twelve titanium stakes. NOTE: For pitching in rocky terrain or hard soil, consider upgrading to heavier stakes (sold separately).
