These all-condition, all-purpose tarps are perfect anytime you need protection from sun or rain. The very compact packing size and lightweight fabric make these the ideal tarps for any backpacking, group camping or water sports trip. Numerous guy points and special catenary cuts ensure a taut pitch. - Ripstop polyester taffeta with a 2000 mm polyurethane waterproof coating plus extra UV-resistant treatment on the fabric to help protect the fabric against damaging UV rays - Factory polyurethane tape on the center seams for complete waterproofing - Very durable guy loops and center tie points are made of nylon webbing and have extra reinforcement along corners - Dark Green - Dimensions: 14' x 12'

This is not your backpacking rainfly! The bag it comes in measures 24 inches x 8 inches. I did not weight it but it must be close to the 4 pounds it ships at. Would be great for car camping and to cover a few hammocks or tents at one time. The corners and center have the loop tieouts, but there are grommets for the other six tieouts which are set into double material. I would have liked to see all looped sewn tieouts as pictured. There are two seams which are taped as well as the center loop. You could hang this from the center loop over branch and make a fair size teepee tent. 14x12 is huge! you would easily be able to make this into a full tent with floor if needed. not a bad tarp at all if that is what your looking for.

I have not used the tarp yet, so this is an initial impression review. The FIRST one I received was stuck together so badly that I was not able to unfold it all the way. I opened it enough to see that some of the seam tape was coming off and returned it the same day. The weather proofing was leaving a white sticky residue where I was able to get the tarp unstuck. The Second tarp that I received the next day as a replacement was completely stuck together at the first half fold of the tarp. I was able to get this one open, but it took almost 30 min to unfold. The seams on this one were taped better and the white residue was not on the second tarp. I think the tarp was folded before the weatherproofing had a chance to dry, or it has been sitting on the shelf long enough that it began to stick to itself.
