I bought MSR Gear Shed for my MSR Hubba solo tent. I needed a shelter for my large rucksack and for my wet gear during long hikes (5 days or more). I was pleased of what I bought.The lack of apsis has been a problem with the Hubba series. But now you get a good vestibule to store away the stuff you cannot or will not put in the sleeping compartment - which is very good, since with the single-man Hubba there really is only very little extra room. No more cramming dry clothes under your sleeping mat! Also, during rain and storm you get more room to maneuver inside and organize your valuables without getting wet. There is just enough room for an average-sized person to move around or sit down with your hands full.I was worried if the product works well with a solo tent. But there was no problem whatsoever. The shed can be attached to a single-man tent (Hubba or Hubba HP) easily. If used properly it won't bend the tent sideways - actually, it makes the tent more taut. Add-on fits also perfectly to the tent fly, leaving no aperture for the rain and wind. So during rain it won't leak water inside.The gear Shed has only partial floor, with most of the fly-covered area left open ground. Some people see this as a problem. I however saw it as an two-way advantage. First this reduces the overall weight and size of the product. Secondly it helps to store away wet and soiled gear - you don't have to put your muddy boots or soaked rucksack on the canvas at all.The only problem with the product, in my opinion, was the relative weight (800 gr. or so). This makes my lightweigt Hubba 40% heavier than before. But I'm willing to trade some weight for a lot of extra comfort in areas where there are no man-made shelters around.I was pleased with the overall quality of the workmanship and the materials.

This works really well. Tested it out by leaving it set up in a rain storm all night long. It did very well, only complaint is that there is no coverage between the brown floor you see in the photo, and the door of the tent. One extra flap of fabric would have helped a lot, though this is easily solved by throwing down a small tarp.
