The Spitfire is a very light tent that sleeps 1 person with room for gear and a nicely sized vestibule for extra storage space. It features large mesh panels for great ventilation and stargazing opportunities. The large side door makes entry/exit easy and opens to the spacious vestibule. The tent body can be set up with only 2 stakes and the poles attach with clips making set up fast and easy. The SpitFire has more headroom than most tents in its class making it a very easy tent to sit up in: Features: Main fly and floor seams are factory taped for extreme weather protection. Large side door is big and makes it easy to get in and out of the tent. Vestibule for extra gear. Bathtub floor keeps seams taut and high off the ground for superior protection. DAC FeatherLite Aluminum poles are light and durable. Large mesh panels for superior ventilation and stargazing. Poke out fly vent is closable and accessible from inside the tent. All clip design means fast sturdy set up. 1 mesh gear pocket for internal storage. Poles attach to tent body via locking pole tips and grommets for fast and easy set up. Initial set up requires only 2 stakes. Side release buckles attach fly to body for fast easy set up. Flashlight loop. Tent, pole and stake bags included. Fire retardant.

Very light tent and easy setup. I sleep two in it comfortably. used it a few times and have had no problems with it, the first time i set it up was in the dark and took about 7 minutes

PROS: lightweight, inexpensive, very roomy, packs small, double-walled, great ventilationCONS: not free-standing, small vestibules & no access to second vestibule, cheap stakes, no color optionsThis is a great lightweight solo tent for the price. I've used it backpacking, bike touring and even car camping. The vestibules are small (just about big enough for some boots), but there's so much space inside I just bring my panniers and all my gear in the tent w/ me. I'm 5'10" and many other UL 1-man tents feel like coffins (and are triple the price!)The ventilation is great since the tent body is almost all mesh. Although it's not freestanding, the tent is strong when set up and guyed-out and the rain fly also adds some wind protection. I've never had any condensation, but I have gotten a bit cold due to air blowing in under the fly. I pitched this guy on a windy mountain peak @ 12,500 ft. and it performed great. Luckily I've never had to use this tent in the rain. The negatives are the cheap stakes which I ditched for some MSR UL ones. Also, I think the colors are not that attractive. You may feel differently, but I wish there were some options for different colors.Perfect tent for someone just getting into bike touring, backpacking or is on a budget but doesn't want to compromise on quality.

This is a nice little tent for the money. It's sturdy, super easy to set up, and provides plenty of head room - something that's hard to find in most single backpacking tents. I especially love the rainfly, which quickly and easily clips into place after the tent is set up. It is not a freestanding tent, meaning that the floor must be staked down before it can be erected and operational.I'm a 5'7" woman and find the tent has adequate space, however I would caution very tall or big people to consider one with a bigger footprint (I did try to share it with my 60 lb dog which didn't work out at all, so I'll keep my 2 person tent for outings with her).It packs down well and is a tad heavy for a 1 person tent, but it's sturdy, well-designed and overall a great buy.
