With a minimum weight of only 1 lb 14 oz (.846kg) the Easton Kilo 1P allows you to sit up to put your shoes on with 39 in. of headroom and enough living and storage space to take shelter from the weather and bugs. The ultra-light Kilo 1P tent is no-sacrifice luxury for the light-packing single sleeper. Designed with short ultra-light carbon pole sections for a small packed size, perfect for fitting in your pack, kayak, or bike pannier, the Kilo 1P is ready for most any adventure. A 30-denier PU coated ripstop nylon bathtub floor, and a 20-denier silicon/PU coated ripstop nylon fly keep you cozy and dry, while the 20 denier lightweight no-see-um nylon mesh canopy keeps the bugs at bay and condensation to a minimum. My last 3-season lightweight tent finally wore out; so I was in the market for a new one. I have always liked free-standing tents, but the last 3-season tent I had wasn't really free-standing like advertised and it sagged in quite a bit even when guyed out good; so I figured unless it's a dome it isn't really free-standing and this opened the market to tents like Easton Mountain Products Kilo 1P tent. I found it on sale and bought it.At first it was hard for me to figure out how to get it set up so the tent was taut without taking a long time playing with it; so I became a little frustrated on the first trip with it. When I finally got it set up correctly, it worked great. I have now taken it on three Sierra backpacking trip and one Grand Canyon backpacking trip and it has been a good little tent. I have been out in the rain once without any problems. I have not been caught in high winds yet, but I tend to avoid going out when the forecast calls for high winds. Along the way, I have figured out that if I lay out the tent and secure two of the corners with stakes before attaching the pole it sets up fast and taut. This is a good 3-season tent for one person.

The weight and the size is great. Already slept in it 3 times in the cold, wet and hot, and worked great in all 3 conditions. Plus there was enough room to sit up to change and plenty of room for my pack in the vestibule area to keep it out of the rain.
